The Journey of PeopleSoft

PeopleSoft has a rich history dating back to 1987 when it was founded by David Duffield and Ken Morris in Walnut Creek, California, USA. The company’s first HRMS product was released in 1988, and it quickly became a game-changer in the industry, setting the standard for HRMS software.

Over the next few decades, PeopleSoft continued to dominate the HRMS market and expanded its product offerings to include enterprise resource planning (ERP) software as well. In 2003, Oracle Corporation acquired the company, which led to some changes in its product line and direction. Despite the acquisition, PeopleSoft still maintains a strong presence in the ERP market and Oracle is still investing significantly in developing the product.

As a PeopleSoft consultant, I have been fortunate to be part of this journey, and I know that many of you share my passion for PeopleSoft. I’m starting this blog to connect with like-minded individuals who want to learn more about implementing and supporting PeopleSoft systems.

In this blog, I’ll largely be posting about technical stuff that we come across in our day-to-day lives implementing and supporting PeopleSoft systems. I hope that you’ll join me on this journey and share your thoughts and experiences through the comments section.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to connecting with fellow PeopleSoft enthusiasts like you!
