Fields are the basic building blocks of records in PeopleSoft. A field in PeopleSoft can be of the following types:

Unlike in conventional RDBS, a field in PeopleSoft is reusable and can be used across many records. PeopleSoft allows users to drag and drop fields into a record definition.
